This guide covers everything you need to know about cellar waterproofing in London, including why it matters, the methods available, and how to choose the right approach for your property. Why London Cellars Are Especially Vulnerable -------------------------------------------- London sits on a mix of London Clay, river gravel, and alluvial deposits. Clay soil is particularly problematic because it retains water and expands when wet, creating hydrostatic pressure against below-ground walls.
